I love a smooth dolly shot as much as you do, but sometimes its nice to have a little wobble. I usually prefer things to be a little rough around the edges (on purpose of course). That's why we got this little cart-thingy. Works great on hard wood!

Movies I'd Like You To Watch

 

This film is impossible to describe, or review. In fact, calling it a film throws up the very idea of what constitutes a film.

Pictures

Living around so many ugly people makes it hard to snap great pictures.

That is my excuse for these.

Music

I wont post music that I listen to very often. Not that I don't love music... I just usually hate it when people make me listen to their music. So I don't want to make you listen to mine.

This song however is very special to me. You should take a few minutes to listen to it.

Test Shots

I've always loved the idea of making an audience feel... however I want them to feel. In this case the disorientation you feel when you wake up.

I consider the experiment itself a failure, but it still ended up being a neat shot.

Pictures

In all of these pictures I was trying to capture this floating black dot, but it proved to be a fruitless endeavor. I'm positive now it was the ghost of Carl's alter ego "Jack." Who was banished from the earth in 2008... or so we think.

Short Films

A short I wrote and directed. The lives of a world-weary teenager and a misanthrope intertwine and explode into madness. 

This was shot on the Canon 5D Mark II. We used a number of different lenses, even though the short appears to be all done in one shot. A few digital effects were added in post such as the heroin needle and the hole in the wall.
